What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization." In simple words, it means that when people search for products or services related to your business in Google, Bing, and other search engines, it is better to increase the visibility of your site. The better the visibility of your pages in search results, the more likely your business is to attract attention and attract potential and existing customers.

How does SEO work?

Crawling

Every search engine has software, known as a crawler or spider (in Google's case it's Googlebot), that crawls the webpage content. It is not possible for a crawler to see that if a new page appears or an existing page is updated, some crawlers may not visit the webpage for a month or two. In this regard, it should be important to remember what all search engines can crawl: Images, Flash Movies, JavaScript, Frames, Password Protected Pages, and Directories cannot be crawled. So, if your website has most of these, it would be better to run a keyword simulator test to see if these can be spidered. Those that are not viewable are not spiders and are not indexed or processed. However, they will be missing from search engines.

Indexing

After crawling the content, Spider stores the indexed page in a large database from which it can be retrieved when the relevant search string or keyword is entered. This may not be possible for humans, but for search engines, it is a daily routine. Sometimes, search engines do not understand the content of the page. And for that, you need to optimize the page properly.

Search work

With each search request, the search engine processes, that is, it compares the searched key phrases with the pages indexed and stored in its records. Many millions of pages contain the same search phrase.

The search engine is a function of measuring the relevance of all the pages and indexes it according to the keywords inserted in the SERP.

the search algorithm is a diagnostic tool that takes a puzzle (when there is a search with a particular keyword), sorts through a record that catalogs keywords and the URLs that have relevance with those keywords, finding some possible answers. guesses, and then returns pages that contain the word or phrase it was looking for, either in the main content or in a URL that leads to the page.

SEO and Digital Marketing

Obviously, there seemed to be no such difference between an SEO and a digital marketing approach; Both perform similar tasks and have similar skills. Different titles are used only for marketing needs. To understand this, we need to take a deeper look at these concepts. The figure below will clearly show how SEO is based as a subset of digital marketing.

People are engaged in bringing organic hits, whereas digital marketers aim for total online existence which is beyond many. In practice, a consultant usually looks after other areas of digital marketing. And the whole SEO digital marketing service package can be named under all SEO packages because customers basically understand it more easily.

The contemporary trend includes optimizing website and search engine marketing as well as some more services. For example, there are some factors that really help SEO in the sense of choosing the right keywords, such as blogging with SEO content, contextual marketing, behavioral marketing, mobile advertising, alt-text in banner ads, social media marketing, RSS, Viral Marketing, and Video Content Advertising. And for that one needs to have a solid digital marketing and SEO strategy.

SEO – Integrated Digital Marketing

And after coming a long way SEO is termed Integrated Digital Marketing by some marketing experts. Let us throw some light on this.

More and more, the use of SEO is becoming increasingly important to the overall success of digital marketing. And if we carefully look at the changing paradigm of SEO over the years, we will get a very good idea. Long before SEO came into the picture in the mid-90s, manual submission, meta keyword tags, and keyword stuffing were all common techniques needed to rank well in the SERPs. Then in 2004, there was anchor text affiliate link bombing, buying links from automated blog comment spam injectors, and the creation of inter-linking websites to get web traffic. Then in 2011, social media marketing and vertical search inclusion became the mainstream methods of conducting SEO. Search engine algorithms are updated from time to time to bring in traffic. The strategy used in 2004 is now out of date as the new call is something else.

Today, so many new memes completely change the way an SEO consultant once worked, although the basic understanding remains the same, such as title tags, H1 tags, and everyone's favorite topic, for Google. Thanks, link. But many applications that we previously used to measure SEO are no longer there

.

Social media

The importance of social media marketing is increasing due to the increasing use of viral marketing approaches through Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Yammer, and Google+. These social networking sites must be compliant with SEO best practices in order to fully control the SEO potential.

Today's approach does not have as many links in terms of high ranking

personal reputation has become an important aspect. There are some improvements to the old school of link building. The general perception of ranking high in search results is changing – content strategies are not the main means, but generating quality inbound links that remain a very important SEO element to influence ranking. In that respect, the concept of 'link' is changing. The main idea behind traditional link building is to measure all do-follow links that a website can generate and completely ignore all no-follow links. The exercise was to build as many links as possible. That system had some drawbacks of black-hat marketers, and eventually, Google changed its algorithm, which completely eliminated the practice of traditional link-building exercises. This was known as spamming. Even guest-blogging with the sole motive of building links gets burned. Guest-blogging works really well if it is to generate new audiences, introduce yourself as an expert, and engage with your target community.
