How to use Canva Step by Step

Step 1: Select Size and Shape

Visit Canva.com. If this is your first time, you will require to set up an account.

Click on the 'Create a Design' button in the upper right corner.

You can choose from 'Custom Dimensions' or a range of pre-selected dimensions. Canvas makes it easy to get your design started by incorporating templates for custom sizes across many social media platforms.

You can also choose a Pinterest image, a Twitter post, a Facebook post, or more


Step 2: Set your Background

You can choose a simple color or pattern. There are also abstract images and photos to choose from.

You can also select a photo and add it to the background. This includes photos that you upload.

Texts like this gradient are fun. We will use it.

Step 3: Add Your Text

Go to 'Text' on the left-hand menu and there are options to select a simple text box. Or some font combinations and effects.

Choose a font combination idea to get started. Type the connection you want to use.

Choose the one you want and then use round dots in each corner to make it bigger

Short purple lines will appear to help you bring it to the center.


Step 4: Add Your Name or URL

To add your URL or blog name to the graphic, select a text box and drag it down.

You can resize and match the fonts used. Just select the Font menu or the Size menu next to the top.

Step 5: Finish and Save

Give your reference a name so you can find the file on the computer. This will be the default for on-screen or sometimes 'untitled' words.

Then use the 'Download' button to download it. Choose your favorite format.
